Who We Are
We are a couple from Indiana (hoping to journey west sooner than later!) who became interested in lapidary art through a chance encounter with a rock shop while Geocaching several years ago. We have spent time learning and aquiring equipment and supplies while having fun with stones. We are a small operation, and we both have day jobs. Chad is a social worker for persons with developmental disabilities throughout the state, and Amanda is a local musician and a certified medical assistant in a non-profit hospital and physician network. The rest of our time is spent thinking about rocks and spending time with our dogs. Our name is a combination of our dogs’ names, and we didn’t find out until later that “Suva” was actually the capital of Fiji!
All of our stones and jewelry are cut by hand at our small workshop, and are designed to best exploit the natural patterns and beauty of each individual piece. We constantly strive to find the most interesting and high quality materials to produce our stones.
